PDEA seizes 1 kilo of 'shabu' in Marawi City
COTABATO CITY- Government’s anti-narcotics operatives arrested two big-time drug traffickers who yielded a kilogram of ‘shabu; worth P7 million during an entrapment operation in Marawi City on Thursday.
Juvenal Azurin, regional chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, identified the arrested suspects as Alexander Dayondong Aliponto, a resident of Tamparan, Lanao Del Sur and his cohort, Adam Pandiin, alyas Titing of Marawi City.
Azurin tagged the suspects as members of a local drug ring operating in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur areas.
“They were caught red-handed selling illegal drugs after receiving the P2million marked money from a PDEA undercover agent,” Azurin said.
He said the anti-drug operation was witnessed by Marawi local officials led by Mayor Majul Gandambra who rushed to the scene after the suspects were arrested
