BFP-Polomolok establishes sub-station in Brgy. Glamang



POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato- The Bureau of Fire Protection here is set to establish a fire sub-station in Barangay Glamang to effectively respond to fire incidents in the village and neighboring areas.

Sr. Insp. Richard Visitacion, Polomolok Fire Marshal and Glamang barangay chair Marivic Tubo graced the groundbreaking ceremony last July 23 for the construction of the building inside the compound of the barangay hall.

Visitacion said the establishment of the substation in Barangay Glamang is very strategic purposely to reduce the response time during conflagration and other emergencies.

He thanked  barangay chairman Tubo and PRIMEWORLD Land Holding, Inc. for their initiative for the construction of the fire sub-station.

The construction of the fire sub-station will be undertaken by PRIMEWORLD Land Holding, Inc. (PLHI), a developer for premier housing projects while the site was provided by the Glamang barangay local government.

PLHI Sales and Marketing Manager Ms. Helen Z. Zafra said their company was elated by the opportunity to be part of the project.

“We are very honored to be part of this event, thank you for letting us to be part of this program,” Zafra said.

Visitacion said t the Glamang Fire Substation will be able to serve the vast majority of the community, allowing immediate and quick response time during fire incidents and other emergencies not only to Barangay Glamang but also the adjacent barangays of Silway-7, Klinan-6, and Silway-8.

The construction of the fire substation is estimated to be completed in six months.

For her part, Barangay Captain  Tubo lauded PRIMEWORLD Inc. for undertaking the construction of the fire station as part of its corporate social responsibility to the Barangay Glamang community.
