GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 8, 2017) – City Mayor Ronnel Rivera and Joaquin Lu, chairman of the 19th National Tuna Congress, are in serious conversation during the Opening Ceremony of the 19th National Tuna Congress on September 7 at SM Trade Hall. Mayor Rivera said that more than 120,000 Filipinos are dependent on the Philippine tuna industry here in General Santos City alone. The revenues generated from it are vital to the local economy.
