8 BIFF rebels yield in Maguindanao


COTABATO CITY- At least eight members of the ISIS-inspired Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter local terror group yielded to military authorities in Maguindanao last Thursday.

Major Gen. Diosdado Carreon, 6th Infantry Division commander, said the BIFF surrenderors surrendered to 57th Infantry Battalion under Lt. Col. Jonathan Pondanera in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao.

He said the surrenderees also yielded assorted high powered firearms including three M16 rifles, one M14 rifle, 1 Carbine rifle, two caliber 30 Garand rifles, two rocket propelled grenades launchers, one caliber 
7.62 Mauser rifle, and one M79 grenade launcher.    

Datu Saudi ampatuan Mayor Edris Sindatok welcome the surrenderees who returned to the folds of the law and renounced their allegiance from the local terrorist group responsible for atrocities, Including the spate of bomb attacks killing of security forces in Central Mindanao the past years.

He said the local government had provided P200,00 cash assistance to the former rebels which they can utilize to start a new life as they reunited with their respective families.
