Couple yields one kilogram of ‘shabu’ in drug bust



COTABATO CITY- Anti-narcotics operatives seized from a couple one kilogram of methamphetamine hydrochloride worth P6.8 million during a drug bust operation in Marawi City last Wednesday.

       Juvenal Azurin, regional chief of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, identified the suspects as Ating Pundogar, 47 and his wife,  Norhata Bonsalagan, 48, both residents of Maguing, Lanao del Sur who were nabbed by PDEA agents and policemen during an entrapment operation along the national highway in Barangay Matampay, Marawi City.

    Arresting lawmen seized one kilogram of ‘shabu’ wrapped with cellophane labeled as Chinese tea. 

    Authorities tagged the suspects as big-time drug traffickers operating in Lanao areas. They had been under surveillance for several months prior to their arrest

    Charges for selling illegal drugs will be filed against the suspects who are presently detained at the PDEA detention facility in the city.
