Personal grudge eyed in gun-slaying of Brigada media network exec


GENERAL SANTOS CITY- Police authorities are eyeing personal grudge as possible motive in the killing of a top executive of Brigada media network who was gunned down by motorcycle-riding assassins last Friday, June 4 here.

PColonel Gilberto Tuzon, city police director, said probers had already pinpointed to some persons of interest in the killing of Yentez Quintoy, 39, who was waylaid by two unidentified suspects riding in tandem on a motorcycle while driving a Sports Utility Vehicle on her way home in Barangay San Isidro, this city.

Tuzon said police investigators are collating material evidence needed in the filing of criminal charges against the suspects.

“Hopefully, we can file the case against the suspects by Monday,” Tuzon said.

He said PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar had ordered him to dig deeper into the killing of Quintoy, the third victim that fell into the bullet of riding-in tandem criminals in a span of one week.

Since January this year, there were more than 20 gun-slaying incidents in the city perpetrated by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

Elmer Catulpos, chief executive officer of Brigada media network, condemned the killing of his long-time executive assistant and offered a P1 million reward for anybody who can provide information that could lead to the solution of the case.
