Authorities seize P2-M marijuana plantation in Sultan Kudarat



ISULAN, SULTAN KUDARAT- Governments’s anti-narcotics agents seized on Tuesday some P2-million worth of marijuana plantation on a hinterland village in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.

Kath Abad, spokesperson of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-12, said PDEA agents and police operatives swooped down on Barangay Sinapulan where they uprooted  more than 11,000 fully-grown marijuana hills that were planted within a vast cornfield in the mountaneous area bordering Columbio and Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.

The estimated value of the seized marijuana plants was placed at P2.2 million.

Abad said the suspected marijuana planters identified as alias Vincent Estrada ang Virgel managed to escape before the raiding team arrived.
