GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- It is all systems go for the 2nd GenSan Tuna Festival Dragon Boat Race held at the Queen Tuna Park, this City.
Dragon Boating is a unique water sport that blends old traditions and modern game rules through the use of double-keeled dragon boats and wooden paddles.
A competing team is composed of 22 people (20 paddlers, 1 drummer, and 1 steerer) of either genders admirably using their unified mental discipline and synchronized physical strength.
This is the second time that General Santos City and the Socsksargen host this event.
Spearheading this event are the Office of City Councilor Brix T. GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 4, 2017) – Different dragon boat crews race each other on the waters of Sarangani Bay during the 2nd Gensan Tuna Festival Dragon Boat Race on September 3. Delegates from the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, as well as amateur dragon paddlers, came to participate in the event.
