CANDIDATE SOLDIERS. A total of 197 candidate soldiers comprising the Candidate Soldier Course Class 694-2021 took their oath of service to protect the country and the Filipino people on the morning of November 15, 2021 at the 6th Infantry Division Grandstand, Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
This sparks the start of their six-month rigid training at the 6th Division Training School (DTS) in Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
Brigadier General Jose Narciso, 6th ID Assistant Division Commander (ADC, who graced the opening ceremony, challenged the candidate soldiers to be physically and mentally ready during the course of their training.
“As you start your training, expect that there will be an abrupt change from the lifestyle of being a civilian to adapting the military lifestyle. This training will mold you to become well-disciplined, competent, and capable soldiers to fill in the enlisted ranks of the Army. Always keep your head high and never lose morale,” BGen. Narciso said.
